AIS launches new mobile and online variety show

ADVANCED Info Service (AIS) has partnered with JSL Global Media Company, a provider of television entertainment content, to launch an exclusive variety show on its mobile-phone and fixed-broadband networks.

The move aims to strengthen AIS’s digital-content portfolio and bring added value to its subscribers, said Pratthana Leelapanang, AIS executive vice president for marketing.

The first weekly episode will be broadcast on Tuesday at 8pm.
“Gig & Doo: Ta Ngao Siang” is a spin-off of the highly successful |JSL TV variety show “Gig & Doo: Songkram Pleng Ngernlarn”.
The show’s mission is to search for a “shadow voices” or impersonators whose singing voices are very close to the original singers’.
Pratthana said AIS was very interested in video-related services as it was a trend-setter.
Statistics show that more than 60 per cent of Thais use smartphones to connect to the Internet and watch video content, and more than 80 per cent prefer video-on-demand so they can enjoy programmes at any time with no restrictions from TV programme schedules.
Launched early this year, the AIS Play mobile application offers a variety of video content that is live or replayed, any time and anywhere.
