
Central Pattana (CPN) is joining with True Corporation, Thai Life Insurance, Major Cineplex and SF Cinema on a Mothers Day promotion.
The Special Moments with Mum campaign “invites all sons and daughters to bring their mums to enjoy food and a free movie, and also get a chance to win many special prizes and privileges when shopping at CentralWorld and 30 branches of CentralPlaza and CentralFestival nationwide” from August 12-14.

Nissan unit links with Mitsubishi in leasing venture
Nissan Leasing (Thailand), Nissan Motor’s subsidiary for leasing and sales finance, and Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) have joined up to create Mitsu Leasing for Thais wishing to purchase Mitsubishi vehicles.
Nissan Leasing (Thailand) will be responsible for providing wholesale and retail financial services and products for participating Mitsubishi dealerships across Thailand under Mitsu Leasing.
The brand name comes from “Mitsu” – the name Thai consumers commonly use to refer to Mitsubishi Motors vehicles.
Mitsu Leasing will begin providing financial services this month.
“This is a significant development,” said Andrew Maeer, managing director at Nissan Leasing (Thailand). “Outside of our planned collaborations on technology development, common vehicle platforms and joint |plant utilisation, today’s announcement is one of |the key milestones of our new alliance with |Mitsubishi.”
The collaboration follows Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors’ similar joint announcement on June 5 regarding providing financial services in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) president and chief executive Morikazu Chokki welcomed the collaboration.
“This will bring benefits to our participating Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) dealers and our customers through greater choice in competitive branded finance offerings,” he said.
SINGHA WOOS YOUNG WITH PITCH FOR DRINKING WATER
Singha is seeking to win over young people to its drinking water through what it calls an influencer branding campaign.
The brand expects to achieve 25 per cent market share by the end of the year.
Titiporn Thammapimookkul, managing director of food and beverage for Singha Corporation, the manufacturer and distributor of Singha Drinking Water, said the brand saw a 12 per cent increase in sales figures during this previous summer from its “A Part of You, we only choose Singha” campaign, represented by five |brand influencers who each represents different |lifestyles.
“The campaign utilise influencers across all marketing activities such as digital media, limited edition labels with influencers and roadshow campaign with a personalised one-of-a-kind label with consumers’ picture on the label. This created awareness of the brand and the importance of values that you get from packaged drinking water,” Titiporn said.
“The campaign was to communicate and inspire through story-telling which helped the Singha brand engage more with the new generation which are the industry’s core audience. At the same time, the company has increased one new production chain at Phranakhonsriayuddhaya, resulting in a 20 per cent increase in output from the company’s current eight factories across all regions.
For the second half of 2017, “Singha will unveil a new campaign to widen its fan base and to new groups |of consumers and with this company is confident of reaching a 25 per cent market share from its current 23 per cent with a 16 per cent growth in revenue,” the company said.
