
The results are respectively 10.09 per cent and 5.62 per cent higher than those achieved in the same period last year, Santi Kiranand, the SET’s senior executive vice president and head of the issuer marketing division, said on Monday.
Of the 572 businesses having already reported their results to the bourse, 445 posted a net profit.
Since the end of June, 159 listed firms have also announced that they will pay dividends totalling Bt123.71 billion in the form of cash or stocks, he said.
Companies in the energy, infrastructure and petrochemical sectors lead the way in terms of having expanded year-on-year revenue and net profit in the first half, Santi added.
