FTA Five-month exports hit $28.03 billion

Exports from Thailand under the free trade agreement (FTA) and Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) amounted to $28.03 billion in the first five months of this year or 76.22 per cent of total export value under the FTA agreement, deputy-director general of Foreign Trade Department Manatsanith Jirawat said yesterday.
She added that the figure is higher than the same period of last year by about 20.48 per cent.
The top importers of Thai exports under the FTA and GSP are: Asean, $10.52 billion; China, $7.05 billion; Australia, $3.92 billion; Japan, $3.02 billion; and India $1.81 billion.
