Tech firms form regional partnership
VST ECS, an ICT distributor in the Asia Pacific, has announced a relationship with Mellanox Technologies to add the vendor’s data centre interconnect solutions to its technology portfolio.
The firms said the deal gives VST ECS the ability to bring Mellanox, a supplier of end-to-end ethernet and InfiniBand intelligent interconnect solutions and services, into the Thailand market through its base of resale partners.
Somsak Pejthaveeporndej, VST ECS CEO, said: “This partnership with Mellanox will help fulfil the needs of customers in virtualisation and hyper-convergence which is currently widely used in a variety of industries that require stable performance and excellence business results.
“The new generation of smart interconnect solutions from Mellanox is based on a data-centric architecture, which can offload all network functions from the CPU to the network and perform computation in-transit, increasing the system’s efficiency.”
