  • Most of the eight Thai hotel and airline companies reported net profits for the second quarter of 2026, with all five hotel groups showing growth.
  • Airline performance was mixed, as Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways were profitable, while Asia Aviation (AAV) suffered a significant loss of 2.326 billion baht.
  • A major challenge for airlines was the surge in jet fuel prices, which was the primary cause of AAV's loss and a major expense for Thai Airways.
  • Minor International (MINT) posted the highest Q2 net profit of the group at 3.308 billion baht, driven by strong performance in its hotel and restaurant businesses.
  • Dusit Thani (DUSIT) marked a significant turnaround, swinging from a net loss in the previous year to a net profit of 97 million baht in Q2 2026.

Hotel, hospitality and airline businesses listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand have reported their results for the second quarter and first six months of 2026. The companies faced global geopolitical challenges and intense competition for tourists.
