Cabinet secretariat to decide on Thaksin's royal decorations

The Secretariat of the Cabinet will decide whether to revoke royal decorations conferred on fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, after he was stripped of his police lieutenant colonel rank on Saturday, national police chief Pol General Somyot Poomp
Normally, the Royal Thai Police would submit for royal endorsement a proposal to strip the police rank together with another one for revocation of royal decorations.
However, as Thaksin’s case was decided by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha with special powers under Article 44, the police’s responsibility in the case was over, he said.
