NHA governor sacked 'for benefit of agency'

The National Housing Authority's board of directors yesterday fired the NHA governor before the completion of his term in June next year.
After the board meeting, board president Pichit Akrathit told reporters that Krissada Raksakul’s termination was decided for the benefit of the organisation and to prevent any impact on NHA projects. The decision ended days of speculation that Krissada might resign from the position.
The board agreed that deputy governor Ubonwan Suebyubon would take over in an acting position until Social Development and Human Security Minister Adul Saengsingkaew nominates a replacement and the nominee is approved by the Cabinet.
