Two injured in Narathiwat bomb attack

A pickup bomb exploded near the base of a security taskforce and a school in Narathiwat’s Sungai Kolok district Sunday morning, injuring two victims.
An ongoing investigation suggests that the bombers might have been involved in the blast that rocked Central Festival Samui last year.
Four patrol policemen in fact Sunday noticed that a man drove the pickup to the spot and parked it there before suspiciously jumping on a waiting motorcycle. They then approached the suspects and asked about their suspicious activity. The two men, however, did not respond and quickly sped away.
The patrol policemen chased after but failed to get them. A few minutes later, the explosion erupted.
