Prayut on field trip to Nakhon Phanom for the first time

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha discussed the government’s economic development plan for people with low income during a one-day field trip to Nakhon Phanom in the northeast on Monday. This is the first time he visited the province since he took the premiership.
Prayut also addressed government plans to expand the land transportation infrastructure and a holistic agricultural plan based on the sufficiency economy.
Wat Phra That Phanom is a sacred precinct of Phra That Phanom pagoda believed to be originally built before the 12th Buddhist century.
In January, the Cabinet approved a proposal to have the pagoda included in the tentative list as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Center.
