Phra Buddha Isara denies lese majeste in connection to amulets

The high-profile abbot Phra Buddha Isara came forward on Tuesday to deny allegations that he had committed lese majeste in the making of Buddha amulets. Phra Buddha Isara, the abbot of Or Noi Templ
had not offended the monarchy in any way.
“I consulted the then-Grand Chamberlain Khwankeo Vajarodaya,” Phra Buddha Isara said
Made in 2009, the amulets featured the initials of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and HM Queen Sirikit and reportedly included the blood of the abbot.
Wichai Prasertsudsiri, a coordinator for Buddhism Protection and Promotion Organisation, lodged a complaint against Phra Buddha Isara on Monday.
