Laos ‘has blocked Internet broadcasts by ‘Ko Tee’

AUTHORITIES in Laos have cooperated with the Thai government to block Internet-radio broadcasts by fugitive militant red-shirt Wutthipong Kachathamkhun, the head of the National Security Council said on Friday.
Gen Thaweep Netniyom, the NSC secretary general, said the Laotian government had good ties with Thailand so it heeded requests from Bangkok, which resulted in the end of broadcasts by Wutthipong, alias “Ko Tee”.
Wutthipong has reportedly used YouTube and Facebook channels to communicate with red-shirt supporters – urging them to carry out violent disturbances in Thailand.
He said the government told Vientiane that acts by Wutthipong and his group in Laos had upset Thai people.
So, the government sought cooperation from the Laotian regime to block all channels of communication by the fugitive leader and the request had been heeded, Thaweep said.
