
Isaraphan Boonmas, chief of the Tone Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary, ordered the closure of the waterfall area for tourists and dispatched officials and bulldozers to clear the fallen trees.
Heavy downpour and strong winds toppled 27 trees, some of them falling on a pickup truck, a car, and a tuk-tuk.
The falling trees also damaged a cafeteria building, a prayer building for Muslims and a park office. Some power poles were also toppled after some trees fell on the cables, causing a blackout. Nobody was injured.
The Provincial Electricity Authority dispatched workers to restore power to the area.
