When the road to the waterfall was damaged earlier in the rainy season, officials took advantage of the situation to allow the falls to recover from heavy tourist traffic.
Officials of the Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary have advised tourists to use four-wheel-drive vehicles or large pickup trucks for the 26-kilometre drive from the sanctuary’s entrance to the Thi Lo Su Waterfall.
Sedan cars are not recommended, the officials said on Saturday.
Tourists may alternatively take a two hour trip by rubber rafts to the Pha Luad Cliff and walk 11 kilometres to access the waterfall, the officials added.
