Fire destroys shoe factory in Samut Sakhon

A shoe factory in Samut Sakhon's Krathumban district was destroyed by a fire early Tuesday.
No one was injured in the blaze at the two-storey factory of Rungruang Polyurethane in Moo 5 village in Tambon Kaerai.
Some 30 workers, who were living on the second floor of the factory, managed to flee from the building to safety after the fire broke out at 1.30am. The workers said they were awakened by the smell of the fire.
Firefighters took about two hours to control the blaze, which caused the roof of the building to collapse.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
