Phuket airport relaunch complete

Phuket International Airport General Manager Petch Chancharoen took Phuket’s media on a tour of the upgraded domestic terminal on Friday.

There are now 66 check-in counters, carry-on luggage checkpoints with eight X-ray machines, revamped boarding gates 4-10 and seven sky bridges.
Five sets of toilets are now provided as part of the renovation and the third floor includes 3,500 square metres of passenger waiting areas.

The upgrade is now completed and will be hosting passengers for the first time today. Work continues elsewhere around the airport.
