Satun sterilises, vaccinates 200 stray dogs and cats

Livestock officials in Satun on Monday vaccinated some 200 stray dogs and cats against rabies at a pier where many tourists gather.
The annual operation by the provincial administration this year focused on a community alongside Pak Bara Pier in Tambon Pak Nam, La-ngu district, from which tourists embark to popular nearby islands.
Local residents also took their pets to the pier on Monday for free vaccination or sterilisation.
Satun’s chief livestock development officer, Witthaya Kajirum, said veterinarians from his agency provided the services for strays every year.
