With wisdom and grace, His Majesty the King has publicly voiced opposition to Thailand's lese-majeste laws. Royal advisers have ignored his counsel.
Criminals prey on the weak spots of any system to enrich themselves at the expense of others.
Is it conceivable that certain self-serving Thai and foreign companies and individuals are reaping vast rewards by lurking behind the kudos and security of the “royal brand” and its affiliations?
Scrounging, hypocritical entities of this kind might boast of close ties with the royal family while covertly using the relationship to feather their own nest. Such would be to abuse the trust and exploit the good name of His Majesty the King and the royal household.
What greater act of lese-majeste could there possibly be?
