If Jeb had spoken out against his brother, that would be different. But if your brother nearly destroyed the American economy, started a war under false pretences and was negligent prior to the September 11 attacks, then you have a responsibility to put loyalty to your country above loyalty to your family.
If we compare George HW Bush to his sons, Bill to Hillary Clinton or observe the similarities between the late Kennedy brothers, it’s fair to say that in presidential families you rarely find much diversity of opinion. If you’ve seen one family member, you’ve seen them all.
