US Ambassador Glyn Davies deserves to be commended for confining his talk this time to the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the relationship between the US and Thailand. It shows he can be gracious when he wants to be.
However, as a well-wisher, I would suggest that the next time the ambassador gives a traditional wai, he should lower his head a little while doing so.
Thais never wai anyone while holding their chins high.
