However, their superb efforts in cracking down on those foreigners who dared to play bridge with too many cards, which were also not produced by the Excise Department, must rank high in their achievements of catching foreign criminals who besmirch Pattaya’s pristine reputation. Their recent efforts must qualify as solving the crime of the year. The prime minister can be justifiably proud that Pattaya’s finest have enhanced Thailand’s image and put it in the world’s spotlight again.
