Rejoice! Dilbert back in safe hands

I must chide The Nation for failing to celebrate with sufficient fanfare an epoch-impacting event within its own august columns.
For some weeks the “Dilbert” comic strip has been drawn by a variety of “vacation artists”, none of whom is as competent as Scott Adams, the strip’s creator. We groaned as we saw the faces of the iconic characters distorted and mutilated in several different ways.
We don’t know why Adams was on vacation and hope it wasn’t because of health issues. But now he’s back and it’s a relief and a delight to see Dilbert, Dogbert, Wally, Alice and the pointy-haired boss again being drawn as they really should be. Next time such a heartening event occurs, let’s have a little celebratory fanfare.
