Despite guiding the Kingdom to a record-breaking fifth title in the recent Asean Championship, the former national striker Kiatisak found himself the subject of speculation as the Thai FA president Somyot Poompanmuang preferred to keep the cards close to his chest.
A source, who wants to remain anonymous, said the 43-year-old coach could be offered the job of a member on the executive board of a top-flight outfit.
The club has been in negotiations with a major sponsor, which reportedly wants to reach an agreement by the end of this month and before the kickoff of the 2017 Thai League season in February.
The key factor that could see Kiatisak in an executive role is the fact that he has close ties with the “big” figure in the company hoping to tie up a sponsorship deal with the club based in Samut Prakan.
Should the deal come through, Kiatisak’s two assistants, Apisit Kaikaew and Klairung Treejaksang, may take up coaching roles at the club.
