With General Flynn gone, what’s coming next?

Watching that bete noire of the Trump brigade, CNN, while devouring my porridge and maple syrup this morning, I was treated to the skewering of General Mike Flynn, Trump’s erstwhile National Security Adviser.

Lo and behold, The Nation, not far behind CNN’s breaking news, informs us that Flynn resigned, which may or may not be diplomatic code for getting the boot. Seeing as he “inadvertently briefed” Vice President Pence on the Ambassador-Kysliak-US-sanctions-against-Russia imbroglio, he apparently compounded his folly by offering “incomplete information”, in the commission of such arrant foolhardiness. Oh, dear. Whoever next?
As readers may have noticed, I am given to much schadenfreude when the follies of my fellow man are open and bare and their fingernails, while their minds are in a funk, lay bitten to the quick. So it is this time.
I wonder what Putin makes of it all, as the Kremlin echoes to peals of laughter as he runs rings round his apparent new friend while promoting his Machiavellian schemes. Joking aside, we face dark days ahead.
