The new venue offers rocking tunes, tropical cocktails, and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

Kly, Pim, and Matina Sukhahuta, founders of the brand, say the brand new shop is targeting weekenders and fun-loving adventurers.

With a nod to tropical splendour, Sretsis Mermaid Bar and Shop boasts the “Aloha Mermaid” motif from the brand’s spring– summer 2015 collection, transforming the space into a Polynesian-style pop paradise. Inside, a selection of summer essentials from Sretsis along with embroidered basket bags, logo T-shirts, Mermaid Matina Coconut Oil, are showcased. Luxurious loungewear, Sincerely Yours, and fantasy childrenswear Little Sister also offer beach attire.

The Tiki-styled bar, complete with tropical cocktails and mocktails created by Sugar Ray, complete the fun-filled shopping therapy.

To celebrating the opening of the Sretsis Mermaid Bar and Shop, DJ Maft Sai of Zudrangma Records and Studio Lam brought a posse of renowned DJ’s to spin tunes beachside. DJ Ben started off with Latin Jazz and Caribbean tracks to get the party going, and then DJ Maft Sai took the deck with his signature Thai funk, mor lam, and Tropical Sounds. Finishing off, DJ Kanehbos took down the house with old-school hip-hop beats mixed with funk. Guests enjoyed fun activities throughout the evening. Mermaid Dip, a fun makeover corner complete with mermaid tails and tropical Sretsis tops, fulfilled every girl’s (and some guy’s) dreams of becoming a mermaid.

For craft lovers, the Fruity Turban Workshop gave guests a chance express their creativity, and take a page out of the Carmen Miranda handbook and make tropical headpieces perfect for summer time.
