Finnish brand Marimekko introduces its new collection of household accessories
MOST THAIS tend to associate Marimekko with clothing and bags but in fact the Finnish brand is equally well known for its range of colourful home decor items and accessories.
The new collection for autumn and winter 2017, which celebrates 100 years of Finnish independence, is now at the brand’s local stores and takes its inspiration from Finnish art, architecture, folklore, nature and mysticism of epic poem Kalevala, shining a colourful spotlight on a fascinating Nordic culture.
The floral series offers Pieni Unikko pot holders, mugs, coffee mugs, trays, cushion covers and cosmetic bags, ranging in price from Bt600 to Bt3,400, making them perfect both as gifts and treats for the home.
Marimekko has stores at CentralWorld, Siam Discovery, Central Chidlom, Emporium and Central Bang Na.
