The number killed in this military attack on civilians masquerading as a campaign against terrorists is unknown, though more than 400,000 Rohingya have already poured into neighbouring Bangladesh.
Meanwhile the media continue to focus on a handful of hurricane deaths in the Caribbean, hiding the fact that the Myanmar army and a pack of so-called “Buddhists” are going around murdering civilians.
Why exactly are misguided media making out that the military action is a response to attacks on police posts by “militants”, whereas those attacks were in reality a response to atrocities being committed by Myanmar authorities and “Buddhists”?
Aung San Suu Kyi is, at best, merely a puppet of the military.
This being so, immediate outside intervention is required: send international observers, journalists, UN peacekeepers and mine-removal specialists, impose sanctions, and order the regime to remove all landmines immediately.
