Nigel Pike is a reader who freely admits in these pages to finding democracy inimical, as did Adolf Hitler, to his perverted worldview. He says that “the answer [to globalisation] is those with the least diverse [incestuously constricted gene pool] and most homogeneous populations”. In other words, Hitler’s ideas on racial purity and lebensraum (“living room”). How toxically stupid of him.
His narrative is rather like, for example, the gangsters who tyrannise those bastions of democratic expression North Korea, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and so on ad nauseam. This Wikipedia-level excreta is advanced by a man who has been brought to book time after time after time by sensible contributors to this column.
In addition to this he undoubtedly cherry-picks the fruits of globalisation when it suits him. I could offer quite complex truths on this subject area, but why dignify Pike’s infantile rant, an anguished crie de coeur for an ersatz world that only exists in his confused mind, and that of the world fascist idiocracy?
Pike wants to take us back to a primitive era that dovetails with his cognitive processes, such as they are. He writes much, but says nothing. The best piece of advice I can offer him is this: Leave the serious thinking to those of us able to do it.
