Six scores and eight countries, including Thailand, voted to denounce President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Nine voted no (the US and its destitute dependents), 35 abstained (don’t want to hurt the US’s feeling or kreng jai) and 21 were absent (scared to death). US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley saluted them for “not falling to the irresponsible ways of the UN”. She even plans a thank you party for them on January 3, 2018. The US preposterously counts those that abstained and were absent as its supporters. It used to be “If you are not with me, you are against me”, now it becomes “If you are not against me, you are with me.”
