Why call Israel’s critics anti-Semitic?

I am so damn sick and tired of the fact that every time someone criticises Israel people like Mr Lee cry anti-Semitism. Some of the most articulate critics of Israel’s atrocities, such as writer Noam Chomsky, are Jewish.
If someone criticises the Thai government we don’t call the critic anti-Buddhist. So why can’t we criticise Israel without being slandered as being Jew-haters? Israel is not a religion, it is a racist nation of international outlaws. And that is what we are responding to.
