Eric Bahrt makes spurious arguments in an attempt to convince people to do as he does. He prefers to be contentious and (hopefully he may notice this someday soon), it seldom is effective.
Life is an inherently sacrificial process. If taken to heart, this incontrovertible fact is sufficient to inform moral action in every circumstance.
Correctly understood, it would relieve Mr Potato and his vegetable friends of a lot of needless suffering.
