Thai designer wins Swedish peace award

Our congratulations go to Thai fashion designer, Kai Ukas, who just picked up a Sweden World Peace Award at a ceremony in Stockholm.
Passionate about arts and culture, Kai has a particular interest in Thai fabrics and promotes
them in her designs. The use of these textiles not only makes her outfits unique and instantly
recognisable but has also done much to bring a better quality of life to the villagers who weave
them.
It is for this assistance that the designer has been recognised.
The awards themselves are designed by well-known artists in Sweden, among them Rolf
Clovemo and Tomas Lacke.
