In Turkey, Ataturk International Airport and public spaces in Istanbul are to be transformed into parks when the newly opened Istanbul International Airport is in full operation. That is what the ruling Justice and Development Party wants.
What about the “Peoples Garden” in Makkasan in the not-so-green Bangkok? Could The Nation inform its readers, who will soon be lining up at polling stations, which parties are aiming for a greener Bangkok? Or do all parties only see money in Makkasan, or any other public land plot? When was last time a park was opened in Bangkok?
