Thai travel YouTuber Bavorntat Pengsuk, known as “Hlun Solo”, visited a doctor and received medication on July 11, the day he arrived in Georgia, according to new information provided to his family.
His elder brother, who uses the Facebook name Klose Mos, posted the update at 4.34pm on Thursday (August 20), citing information received through the Thai embassy.
The embassy received an update from Georgia’s Foreign Ministry on August 18 under a letter dated August 17 concerning the investigation into Bavorntat’s death.
Georgian authorities said the case remained under investigation and that neither a final conclusion nor official post-mortem findings had been issued. They needed more time to examine the information and evidence before reaching a complete conclusion.
The preliminary timeline supplied by Georgia’s Foreign Ministry was consistent with information previously received by the Thai embassy but included a new detail about Bavorntat’s movements after his arrival.
Bavorntat went to LLC American Hospital Network in Tbilisi on July 11 and was given medication by the hospital. The information received by the family did not identify the name or type of medicine.
Officials examined Bavorntat’s personal belongings, including personal-care products, electronic devices, documents, clothing and regular medication.
No poison, illegal drugs or psychoactive substances were found among the items, according to the family’s update.
The belongings have not yet been returned because investigators still need to retain them as part of the continuing inquiry.
The family stressed that releasing the update was not intended to pressure any agency or adversely affect any party.
It acknowledged that investigators needed time to examine the evidence carefully and said it wanted the process to be conducted properly, transparently and fairly, with findings that could be independently scrutinised.
The family said it was not seeking a quick answer at the expense of accuracy but wanted a clear explanation based on facts.
It thanked Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thai embassy, Georgian authorities and other officials involved in coordinating and following the case. It also thanked Hlun Solo’s followers for continuing to support the family while it awaited answers.
The family said it would continue monitoring the investigation and release further information when it could be disclosed.
