Authorities in seven Thai provinces bordering Cambodia have been instructed to conduct a comprehensive survey of shelters to ensure the safety of local residents.

Authorities have allayed public fears about the structural stability of Rajjaprabha Dam, and said there had been no indication of an earthquake in the area, following reports of a mysterious loud noise in Surat Thani province on Friday (September 20).
