Two officers attached to Thonglor police station in Bangkok have been suspended from service for allegedly extorting Bt20,000 and US$500 in cash from a Hong Kong tourist.

About 100 officials from the Interior Ministry and the Justice Ministry raided an entertainment venue in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang district early on Saturday and closed two pubs for having customers under age 20.
