A makeshift shrine in Rayong that supposedly helped some people win the lottery has mysteriously disappeared, leaving bettors in a tizzy as the next draw looms.

A Department of Special Investigation-led team has combed Nong Rai Kai graveyard and a nearby area of the Thung Kamang Wildlife Sanctuary in Chaiyaphum to find evidence on the reported death of Khok Yao land rights activist Den Khamlae, who disappeared in mid-April 2016, while officials admitted evidence might be hard to find.
