Despite environmental concerns, a municipality in Rayong has decided to hold Loy Krathong celebrations at Mae Pim Beach, vowing to remove all krathong floats the following morning.

A total of 841,327 krathong floats, most made with degradable materials, were collected in Bangkok this year, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration governor Aswin Kwanmuang said on Friday.
