Breakwater plan to tackle erosion of Trang beach

The Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning has allocated a budget to construct a 604-metre-long coastal breakwater to prevent further erosion of Taengmo Beach on Koh Sukhon in Trang’s Palian district.
The beach is an emerging tourist attraction in the southern province.
Ratree Jitlang, president of the Koh Sukhon Tambon Administration Organisation, said yesterday that the project’s design and environmental impact assessment had gained cooperation from all sides including the community.
