Fox News is misnamed

The only reason I take the trouble to write a short reply to Michael Weldon’s letter praising Fox News is to let him know that not all of us are as gullible and cognitively dissonant as he shows himself to be in expressing regret for the demise of this propaganda machine. 
For years I watched Fox News on TrueVisions and was able to compare it with other sources, including newspapers and magazines, to judge how believable the reporting was. I came to the conclusion that Fox News used the skill of a magician in not acknowledging the facts, distorting the truth, openly lying about events and speeches, and spouting obnoxious propaganda of “white extremism”. 
In his acceptance of intolerable and disgusting behaviour Weldon even defends Fox News presenters who are facing multiple sexual harassment claims. If he wants news that is objective, neutral and not skewed by an unacceptable philosophy, I advise him to watch the TYT Network. “Independent, objective Fox News” is an oxymoron.
