Watch extravaganza, the Central International Watch Fair 2017, returns to town next week for its 19th edition, with a showcase of classic masterpieces, limited-edition items and a few outrageous creations that won the hearts of participants at this year’s Basel World and SIHH in Switzerland.
Running at Central Chidlom’s event hall, the watch departments of all Central stores and Zen from Tuesday to September 18, the fair will offer a range of timepieces worth more then Bt5 billion in total from such well-respected brands as Montblanc, Zenith, Ateliers de Monaco, Franck Muller, Bell & Ross and the prestigious Thai Beauty Gems.
Among the creations is Maurice Lacroix’s Masterpiece Gravity Blue. The Masterpiece Gravity was originally launched at Baselworld 2014 and was the first of its kind to feature an assortment made entirely out of silicium. The new iteration now sports a blue lacquered display, paired with rhodium-plated hands for the hours and minutes. The main plate of the movement is adorned with a “Vagues du Jura” motif that adds to the beauty of this artistic masterpiece
Frederique Constant, which is known for its classical and refined timepieces of exceptional value, presents the new Slimline Moonphase Stars while Gucci introduces the stylish Twirl Bloom, a cuff-style bracelet watch in gold with a beautiful floral motif and the signature Gucci pattern. It’s fastened with a gold plated stainless steel bracelet and adorned with the iconic GG pattern overlaid with a pretty floral pattern.
Charriol presents the St-Tropez Mansart, a glamorous watch inspired by the eternally chic city of Paris. The watch takes it name from Jules Hardouin-Mansart, one of the most influential European architects of the 17th century. The model is designed in an octagonal shape, inspired by architectural beauty of Place Vendome square.
The Tissot Chrono XL, meanwhile, is the largest sporty chronograph watch in the entire Tissot collection and comes at an unbeatable price. The 45mm the dial makes time easily readable, with contemporary Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The chronograph function adds to its urban style.
For the busy executive, there’s the Oris Atelier Calibre 113, the fourth in the Oris’s series of highly innovative, high-functioning watches. Calibre 113 shares the same base architecture as the 110, 111 and 112, but features a novel business calendar, showing the day, date, week, month and year.
