The masterclass will offer whisky enthusiasts an opportunity to try the world’s best singlemalt whisky, as awarded by Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2012, that is unique and distinctive in both taste and character and the ultimate experience for Scotch whisky enthusiasts.
The event features a special guest appearance from Stuart Harvey, who has more than 22 years experience in the whisky industry.
Harvey started out in the brewing industry, after graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a BSc (Hons) in biochemistry. He worked in the brewing industry for seven years, including as master brewer, before joining the distilling industry.
The job requires a balance between the science of the production process and experience of nosing the casks and talent is required. The “nose” is the most sensitive piece of equipment Harvey has and essential for a master blender. He had already “nosed” 100,000 casks before he joined Inver House in 2003.
This masterclass will take you on a journey through Old Pulteney 12 Years Old, 17 Years Old and 21 Years Old.
It’s priced at Bt3,900 net including a bottle of Old Pulteney 12 Years Old.
