
The 22-year-old big-hitter blasted 11 aces to oust Japanese qualifier Yuta 6-4 6-4 and reach his third ITF final, having lost the previous two, in Hong Kong in 2014 and in Wuhan, China in May.
“I hope this will be third time lucky. I came close to winning before but didn’t make it. I will give my all to win my first ITF title,” said Wishaya, who will be aiming to become the first Thai man to win a singles title since Danai Udomchoke in 2014.
His opponent is Hu, a 6-1 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-3) winner over Riccardo Balzerani of Italy.
“He is a solid player. I have to play my game and hope it will be my day,” said Wishaya, who also reached the men’s doubles final along with Issei Okamura of Japan. They will play Hiroyasu Ehara and Shunrou Takeshima of Japan in the final.
On the women’s side, second seed Nudinda Luangnam and Varunya Wongteanchai of Thailand will |take Mirjam Bjorklund of Sweden and Sun Lulu of Switzerland in the final.
