Chao Phraya boat services change for August 20 Royal Barge rehearsal

Chao Phraya passenger-boat operators have announced revised timetables for Thursday (August 20) because of a rehearsal for the Royal Barge Procession.

Chao Phraya Express Boat Co Ltd, Chao Phraya Tourist Boat Co Ltd and Supatra Boat Co Ltd said the exercise would take place between Krung Thon Bridge Pier, also known as Sang Hee Pier, and Memorial Bridge Pier from noon.

The rehearsal forms part of preparations for the Royal Barge Procession.

The revised timetable applies only on August 20.

Services from 6am to noon

Orange-flag service

• Departures from Nonthaburi Pier: 6am–7.45am
• School boats serving Nonthaburi, Rama V, Wat Khema and Wat Soi Thong: 6.45am and 7.05am
• Departures from Wat Rajsingkorn Pier: 6.15am–7.40am

Yellow-flag service

• Six departures from Nonthaburi Pier between 6am and 7.45am
• Green-yellow-flag service
• Six departures from Pak Kret Pier between 6am and 7.50am

Red-flag service

• Departures from Nonthaburi Pier at 6.50am, 7.10am and 7.25am
• Daytime yellow-flag service between Nonthaburi and Wat Rajsingkorn
• Departures from Nonthaburi Pier: 8.15am–11.10am
• Departures from Wat Rajsingkorn Pier: 8.10am–11.30am

Services from noon onwards

Nonthaburi to Payap

• Daytime yellow flag: 3pm and 3.30pm
• Orange flag: 4pm–5.30pm

Payap to Nonthaburi

• Daytime yellow flag: 3pm, 3.30pm and 4pm
• Orange flag: 4.40pm–6.45pm

Wat Rajsingkorn to Ratchawong

• Daytime yellow flag: noon–6pm

Ratchawong to Wat Rajsingkorn

• Daytime yellow flag: 12.40pm–6.30pm

Payap to Pak Kret

• Five green-yellow-flag departures between 4.30pm and 6.15pm

Sathorn to Nonthaburi

• Yellow-flag departures at 6.30pm, 6.45pm and 7.05pm

Passengers should check the departure pier, route and flag colour carefully before travelling because the temporary timetable differs from normal weekday services.
