Thailand to host Super Series and Thomas and Uber Cups for the first time

Thailand received the green light from the Badminton World Federation to host a US$350,000 Super Series event for the first time between 2018 and 2021, according to Patama Leeswadtrakul, the president of the Badminton Association of Thailand.
On Saturday, the country was granted the right to host the Thomas and Uber Cups in 2018 by the world body following the BWF Council in Kuala Lumpur.
Only two cities were in contention to host the event and Bangkok defeated New Delhi for the premier badminton mixed team event. – The Nation
