Tanonsak to play world No 1 in Gasglow

Thai No 1 Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk stormed into the third round of the Badminton World Championship with a straight game victory over Zulfadli Zuklkiffli of Malaysia 21-18 21-13 in Gasglow on Wednesday.
The world No 13 Thai however has a Herculean task waiting for him today as world No 1 and top seed Son Wan Ho of South Korea is his opponent from across the net.
Son who ousted Gergely Krausz of Hungary 21-13 21-9 leads the Thai 3-1 in their head-to-head record.
On the women’s side, Ratchanok Intanon will play Chen Xiaoxin of China whom she just beat 21-8 21-17 in the Asia Championships in April.
